About Me

Hi, I'm Dana, and I'm glad you've found my site. I look forward to helping you!

I'm a proud wife & mama to six busy children, as well as an international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC.) My journey to help birthing and breastfeeding families began in 1999 when I became a certified childbirth educator and a nursing mother’s counselor through BACE-NMC (Boston Association for Childbirth Education and the Nursing Mother’s Council.) In 2000 I began teaching both childbirth and breastfeeding classes at Norwood Hospital and six years later while still teaching at the hospital, I established and became facilitator of the first breastfeeding support group there, which continues to meet weekly. I became certified as an IBCLC in 2011, at which point I accepted the position of staff lactation consultant at Norwood Hospital. In addition to seeing new moms in the first few days of giving birth, I ran a thriving outpatient clinic, helping moms at all different stages with their breastfeeding relationships in meeting their personal goals. I am now currently managing my own private lactation consulting practice “The Robin’s Nest Lactation Services,” and enjoy helping instill confidence and nurturing a mom’s innate ability to nourish her baby.
